Currently listening to Lily Allen's Smile over and over again. The beginning and end strangely blend in together well.
Am staying home because yesterday, someone murdered quite a few of my brain cells and I ended up being REALLY groggy the whole day. (As in, wake-up-at-3-am-with-a-hangover kind of groggy, not it's-10-and-I-have-lots-of-homework groggy.) So I was dying throughout tuition (she said I was coming down with a cold, but I couldn't think of ANY answers, and struggled over words like zhen) and died even more after it ended. Didn't eat much for dinner cos I just wasn't hungry, slept for one hour, did my homework in a state of stupidity (I think I'll get a fail for my humanities), blindly set aside stuff for school and then went straight to bed. In the morning my mum asked if I wanted to go to school and how was I feeling, and you know what happens after that. So I slept all the way till 10, still feeling groggy but much better. My mum says it's the sun, and my dad says everyone's catching the 'flu. Must be a mix of both.
Why the sun? Oh we spent 2 hours under it yesterday. Thank GOODNESS 1-2 was at the end of the day. The paper game sure was fun :D As was our rocket launch, of course, but after that I was soaked in sweat and nearly blind O:

Apparently Tata was Italian (CARLOTTA!) in a past life... Taking the quiz now, during Yearbook (hah!) because we have a free period. Friday was our last day to finish ALL PAGES and thank goodness I managed to find a celeb lookalike during one period (cos one of the teachers didn't want to look like Kathy Griffin).

Lots of updates! Wanted to post yesterday but the power went out because of the rain. So in the morning we dashed off to church and arrived late, had a talk with the hearts home organization instead of ccd class, went to shangrila for lunch with dad's friends (gosh, I love their crispy prawn with salad dressing [which actually isn't anything vegetably, it's just mayonnaise or however you spell it] and corn soup- so awesome!), then got caught in a jam and went to the dentist, where I had to take a mold for my retainers, which will be ready in one week! ain't that awesome.

However, the minute we got home, the house was all grey cos of the rain outside, plus the lights weren't working. Originally we thought it was only some of them, like a parallel circuit or something (my mum said it; I had no idea what she was talking about), but then as the day passed it became clear that everything electric was haywire. The Internet was bonkers, which explains the dead-blog status, and so were the lights everywhere, including the A/C!! So I sat in absolute heat watching Gossip Girl, which is so so so great- I love SELENA AND DAN! Although, having read the books, I know they broke up )):

Backtrack to Saturday and I'm waking up at 9, and my mum's like, Do you want to go to the tailor's and then maybe Pratunam (or Platinum; I still don't know) with Auntie Jess and Sherilyn?so duh I say YES! and I accidentally read too much over breakfast so we run late and get caught in a jam (yes, jams are as common in Bangkok as bans are in Singapore, just kidding). Meet Auntie Jess and Sher at the bottom of the overhead bridge and we trot happily to the tailor's, where I try on my confirmation dress and find that I look like a thirty y/o bride but somehow my mother lurves it.

{on a sidenote, I just discovered that I'm teardrops on my guitar. fb.}

-now finding out m y inner nationality. -

anyway, fast forward to platinumfashionmall and sher and I are chomping our way through our mothers' wallets. saw these two awesome pairs of shoes which I fully intend to save up for although (a) I don't know how much they cost, (b) I'm not sure I remember where they are and (c) my mother hates them. What are they? well, one's a pair of black flats with an ankle strap that has some awesome suede fringe (if I'm not wrong it also comes in brown). and the other, which I lurrrrrrve, is a pair of grey fringed suede flat boots. which also, I think, come in white, brown and black. eep! I wish we had winter.

anyway, bought quite a lot of stuff: beaded bracelet (which has a twin in the one sway-sim gave me last year, except that one's purple and the one I bought is rainbow-coloured), two pairs of shoes (inc. my long-awaited pair of wedges! and a pair of thong sandals, which are sliiightly uncomfortable- I only just found that out), two hairbands (wearing one now- so blair! a royal blue flower headband, and a bright pink bejewelled hairband) and a belt (dark brown with metallic fastener- sher got the black).

lalala. period's ending in about 10 minutes, I think, then it's end of delish free period for moi and off to global studies where I will have to sit quietly and endure tata's aunt and the girl-whose-name-is-like-emerald.

This blog is disgustingly dead. Yes, I disgust myself. I'm always checking here for tags and saying to myself, what, my last post was when I was still in Singapore! How disappointing. I'm sorry you haven't had anything to tag about. (Although you could have been creative and tagged about this site's sad state of life.)

Very depressed after my Isla Fisher skin turned out so ghastly I abandoned it. Going to work at it tomorrow- maybe with a new image. Tata's doing one too, yay her! Posted 5 icons of Isla on theartcollaboration, to make up for not doing anything.

Nothing exciting happening nowadays. Except in Science, we are building viking rockets! no, they do not have studded fins, or horns or whatever. In fact, I don't know why they're called viking rockets. In P.E., we are doing personal fitness, which sounded quite fun when they introduced it, but all we've done so far is injure our arm muscles by overusing hand weights. In Spanish, we are reading a book called Podre Ana, or Poor Ana, and seriously, all that girl does is complain. Wouldn't wanna be ya! In Humanities, we are blogging about the Middle East! Sadly, no blogger, we're using http://www.edublogs.org/. Which leads me to the following advertisement:

updates:
thursday. went serene centre with nhoj john (how long haven't I called him that? ;D) and zx. at first it was kind of awkward, given we hadn't talked face to face in a loooong time and also I was the shortest. very very shortest. (how tall can guys grow anyway? it's not fair.) and then my mum treated us to island creamery which is pretty darn awesome but you can get pretty much the same cookie & cream at Ummm! milk (but it isn't available in Singapore so whatever). (I love cookie & cream ice cream! :D) then we camwhored (kind of) with John's latest BF (yes you read it right) ronald mcdonald! who was, overall, very nice and obliging and let us sit in his lap and make funny faces at the camera. but in the end he nearly keeled over from John's heavy heavy weight (jk).
friday, which is yesterday... went to cut my hair at the salon downstairs. strangely enough, all she did was layer and thin my hair (and trim it), but my hair looks bobbish now! :D it looked pretty when she blowdried it, but of course, after I bathed, it returned to its original stick-out-weirdly-and-make-Grace-look-funny state. then I wanted to explore the little shops downstairs around the market, 'cos you know you're always reading about finding a cute T-shirt for 2 bucks or something, but there wasn't enough time. Parents and I went in our cute rented car to suntec city to collect something for my dad. then my dad saw this guys'-shirt-shop having a sale, so he browsed there while my mum trotted happily around the many delish shoe shops around :D dad bought a $19 shirt while I happily chomped up charles and keith 70%-off end-season sale, buying a pair of white sandals with shell detail for 22.10 bucks! heh I love sales. esp since c&k shoes are always so pretty but ex. walked around aldo accessories but it's so expensive! the cheapest sale thing I could find there was a pair of earrings for 17.90. ouch.
saturday, which is today, which hasn't ended... went bowling in the morning at SAFRA, then had lunch with auntie marina at the chinese restaurant downstairs from the bowling alley. (be proud of me; I ate broccoli, plus this super-soft-but-gross-looking tofu-with-broccoli-butt.) blogging now, duh (made 2 skins lol but relink skins are so delishoushly easy to make), but at 4.45 we are going to church! cos our flight is in the morning tmr and we obviously can't go to church on sunday like we normally do.
might make another relink skin then bathe. or icons. not sure.

Just finished reading Eragon (2 days! :D) and 28 pages of Eldest. (It's so fat, I think I'm going to take a year to finish it.) Why doesn't Christopher hurry up and make Eragon and Arya together? O: (I know I sound so superficial, lol, but a romance would lighten up the whole let's-fight-and-kill-them-all atmosphere...)

Just watched Eragon. Much to my surprise (given, I've never read the book and fantasy's never been my thing) I actually liked the movie! Except the lame ending where Arya and Eragon meet, talk for like five seconds and then he leaves. But I liked the part right before the credits where this black dragon is revealed. It's like the ending of Twilight. Going to do some LotR icons next if the Internet's nice.

Went to TM/CS with CY :D If you're my dad or cousins, don't read the following cos it's a surprise. I bought a cute little leathery army-boot keychain for my dad and two pink scrunchies for my cousins! :D Ok, you can read now. Bought a red suede pouch plus this cheery yellow flower pin for my mum which she loved, yay :D Then finally in the last 10 minutes decided to buy 2 floral-print sundresses from BHG, 2 for 14 bucks! Thanks CY for acting as my conscience :D Went home with mum, who'd bought me this colourful skirt from COAX :D (Turns out their 70% sale was just for members, and my mum's card had expired. Pfft.) Lalala want to go TM/CS again! It's so nice shopping in those cheap bargainy shops like we did after PSLE ;D

I always thought that was the sweetest reason for buying flowers: just because I felt like it. Just a random thought. Wouldn't it be nice to write a poem in a kind of reminiscence-y prose, with one line being I remember when you bought me flowers just because you felt like it or something? I keep thinking that. Then I remember: oh yah, I am horrible at writing poems.

Just finished packing; for the first time, going to check in all my entertainment stuff like magazines and markers, so my bag won't be super-heavy on the flight, esp. since I'm bringing my laptop. (Dad suggested it. Because this trip is super long and I won't be going out everyday. Plus, I think my brother will get very sick of me hogging his room to use his computer.)

So I'm just bringing this awesome big clutch bought in Chatuchak (dual-toned with wristlet!), which looks kind of fat because I stuffed in Gossip Girl, cell phone, wallet and iPod. Heh.

Going to upload latest blogskin here then onto art collaboration. If I have time (brief calculation: 1.5 hour approx. for bath and lunch, so I have to start at 1.30. Okay I have about 40 minutes) I'll do icons :D so addicted to colour pop now! :D

we could totally go TM! :D:D MEGASALE! however, I'm afraid that anything I buy then will be for moiself because invoguebkk is, as it sounds, stuff from bkk. (yes, thank goodness we don't have credit cards. we'd be becky bloomwood cloned.) you can want it but you can't have it, I love it too much. best thing is it was 50% off when I got it. worst thing is it has a bad habit of breaking, and today when I wore it to school part of the CHAIN broke off altogether. so I'm either going to have to find some genius method to repair it, or throw it away. (I might ask my dad to dissect the charms so I can make them into brill earrings. hmm...)

I want 'Say It Again' earrings from The Glass Bead so badly! as well as big blue, herein, *****rain in the sun*****, and the candy man, but you'll have to be a pretty nice, generous and rich friend to get me all those. I don't know why but all of a sudden there's like one billion ants in my bedroom. My mother already doused my plant with water because 99% of the ants were on the plant, but there's still some drunken stragglers stumbling around my desk and creeping around the laptop. It's frustrating, I can't put my hands anywhere anymore.

Realized that I didn't get to blog about Friday, plus tag replies, but I'll probably do the latter tomorrow cos it's almost 10 and I need to go to bed soon.

You know how at the beginning of a school trip you're always like, why can't we have normal school and why do we have to spend all day in the sun in a foreign environment, we'll all get dirty anyway? You're not like that? Oh well, I am, and that's what counts. So I was like that on Friday morning. Face it: it's an Alternate Dress Day sans PE, plus I have to catch up on 10-3 now 'cos I missed the lesson. The only pro's that I missed Socratic Seminar in humanities :D

Anyway, turned up at school in crumpled PE uni (no time to iron) and my bulgey vietnam packpack, which looks so, well, whatever, anyway, and then went to Huttner's to hand up 10-2 with mita. Then we slacked around in 312 and finally went onto the bus. Then we waited at the pier for a while before the BARGE arrived!

Didn't take much time for (1) me to realize how awesome the barge really was and boy did I want to get kidnapped for too high a ransom for my parents to pay, and (2) xxxx to fall in love with the guy on the barge. Well, there were two, but one looked just like Hugh Dancy when he laughed, which he did a lot, so how can you resist a guy like that? Okay, whatever. Maybe Hugh Dancy isn't hot to you. (He isn't to Helen, because she says he looks like Mr Poling, but she likes Taylor Lautner, even with his long hair. Go figure.)

Then there was this totally cool deck thing where you climb up a ladder onto this, well, DECK, and marki, yesle and I went there for a while when only our group was there after the tour-of-ko-kret thing. (Ko Kret's an island, by the way. A "manmade" island which is totally fabulous and has really cute pottery!) And then marki's like, THIS IS LIKE TITANIC! and he goes to the front and kind of spreads his arms out a la DiCaprio, and I'm like, yeah, you're the one that dies, remember? YESLE, PUSH HIM OVERBOARD! and marki's like, no don't push me overboard! and anyway. then mita's group came and we were fooling around.

during break brianna, yesle, risako, mita and I played hangman and the one-word story, where, much to her delight, the two guys from the barge joined us at (guess who?) my behest (mita didn't have the guts to ask hottieboy to join us). then later during lunch brianna spilled the beans: she found out sunflower (aka hottieboy) was 27 years old! mita was totally unfazed, but it gave us more incentive to persuade her not to like him anymore. anyway, we came to the conclusion that he liked this other girl on the barge. too bad. [why are all the hugh dancys of the world taken? pfft.]

ko kret was totally amazing, bought cute little pressies for sway sim, brother and mum (well, actually, for me, but I feel bad about getting messed up about who the presents were for... my mum did say she didn't want it, but... oh whatever) for 50B total! (yes, yes, quote unquote mum, the shopaholic strikes again! that should be the last title for the series LOL). and we walked around a lot. and saw a lot of stuff. and learned about sustainability, and culture, and economy, and environment and stuff. global studies, after all. it's kind of sad how slowly everyone around the world is kind of imbalancing culture and economy; instead of an interdependent balance, it's now kind of tilted because people are prioritizing economy over culture. that was one of the major issues we decided on. for our economy group, it was political and economy crisises. I won't bore you with the details, and anyway, you can figure it out yourself, right?

ooh, deliciously long post :D and it's 9.53. pfftuit. already planned my outfit for church tomorrow! gorgeousy white skirt got at chatuchak for 159B; beaded suede belt from sway-sim; blue tank top from Ten & Co.; orange long cardi from MBK; tan headband from Emporium; gold hoops from... fromm... Robinsons! and gold sandals from chatuuuchaky for 120B.

still want a jansport/lesportsac backpack but my dad won't let me buy one (nyeh! XD). he says I already have one (true, but it's the free one from the '07 vietnam trip...) and that he already has some (manchester united! hello!) that I could borrow. whoa, my skin almost has thirty downloads already! who knew anyone would bother downloading it? and weirder thing is, 2 people actually faved it. wow.

[and the skin was really really horrible. for once I'm not mad at those who rated down; I know I deserve it for such a crappy effort.]

anyway, today wasn't my luckiest day but it was fun :D

first, during lunch, got an ice-cream cone, and as I was walking to our table I slipped on a piece of lettuce on the floor (yes, lettuce- told you veg was dangerous) and the ice cream just plopped onto our table, leaving me to eat the miserable, cold, hard cone. pfft. and I still had to clean up the ice-cream.

then I miraculously managed to get this sticky thing on my book and water bottle. (can you keep a secret?'s cover is still a leetle sticky.)

then on my way back from the toilet I nearly tripped over my own feet. (this happened like thrice in the day.)

finally in PE I fell down from the wooden pole thing and got one long red scratch down my RIGHT arm which now has a bandage on it. (it didn't really hurt. best thing was, mr vaughan was all concerned and we didn't do anything for the rest of the period :D) and the bandage is peeling, which is really irritating- just this little piece of tape flapping in the breeze. pfft.

but overall it was a super fun day :D

oh. and ms ulster turned down my idea of doing a poll of Which Twilight Guy MS Girls Would Love To Date. she said it'll be nice but the school might not like it. oh pfft, why wouldn't they like it?
